Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House of Southern Colorado
Our volunteer program plays an integral role in the success of our Ronald McDonald House. Essentially, if we did not have our dedicated volunteer team, our House would not run as smoothly, nor be nearly as efficiently run and well maintained as it is! Volunteers are truly what make our House a home!
House Volunteers
Volunteers wanting to can help in a variety of ways... assisting in the office, doing some
light housekeeping, tidying the common areas, accepting and putting away donations,
light yard work, baking, etc. Additionally, we encourage volunteers to engage guests in
conversation to make their stay feel as warm and friendly as possible.
Volunteers are needed 7 days/week and are normally scheduled to work one of three
daily shifts:

Morning Shift (9:00am-1:00pm)
Afternoon Shift (1:00pm-5:00pm)
Evening Shift (5:00pm-9:00pm)
We are always in need of baked goods at the House. Whether you would like to bake on-site in one of our kitchens, or bake in your own home and deliver to the House, we greatly appreciate either! Having fresh baked goods available to our guests adds to the comfortable atmosphere that we provide on a daily basis.
Note: When dropping off/or baking baked goods House, please include a completed Meals/Baked Goods Ingredient Form (also available at the House).
Group Projects (no more than 10 people)
There are always group projects available at the House. Group projects may include
helping us with large mailings (stuffing envelopes/sealing/applying postage), performing
maintenance activities (painting, deep cleaning, etc.) or doing some heavy yard work.
The projects needed vary from season to season and all help to keep our House in tip-top
shape!

To become a member of the Ronald McDonald House volunteer team, please fill out our Volunteer Application. Upon receipt, we will contact you to schedule an orientation time. The only other requirement we have is a background check that is conducted at our expense.
