POP TABSRonald McDonald Holding pop tabs

Pull for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern Colorado!

The little insignificant tabs you pull to open a can of pop or soup can make a significant impact. Simply remove the tab, collect them, and give them to our House!

Why collect pop tabs?

All the pop tab collections add up to make a heartfelt impact to the Ronald McDonald House Charities. Pop tabs are an easy way to recycle and help others. People of all ages can do this. These small metal pieces are a source of charitable revenue for us. The amount of money we receive from the tabs comes from the weight of the aluminum collected. We use the money raised through this program for operations and supplies for the Ronald McDonald House and Family Rooms.

What should you use to collect the pop tabs?

Pop tabs can be collected in anything! Simply choose a convenient container in your home, at work, in your dorm, or anywhere. We also have two house sizes available that we provide  at no charge. When your container is full, drop off the pop tabs at our House.

“Mountain of Love”

Many area elementary, middle, and high schools participate in Mountain of Love, where students and staff save pop tabs throughout the year. In the spring, there is a weeklong “weigh in” at the Ronald McDonald House of Southern Colorado. “Tab”ulations are taken, revealing the school who brought in the most tabs. RMHCSC announces the winning school the following Monday. They receive not only “bragging rights”, but they also receive a traveling trophy—the coveted pop tab sombrero (suitable for display!) and a recognition assembly. Our thanks go to all who participate!!!
